Fear and Pain

“I am sitting here in the boring room, It’s just another rainy Sunday afternoon

I am wasting my time, I go nothing to do, I am hanging around, I am waiting for you
But nothing ever happens…and I wonder

I’m driving around in my car, I’m driving too fast, I’m driving too far
I’d like to change my point of view, I feel so lonely, I’m waiting for you
But nothing ever happens…and I wonder

- From ‘Lemon tree’ by Fool’s Garden (1995)

It is a sunny morning…….

I just want to say a hi
I just want to say a bye
I just want to say a good morning

It is a windy afternoon………

I just want to say something
Perhaps I don’t want to say anything
But I just want you on line

It is a cloudy evening……….

An hour passes by;
My hands pick the phone
I start dialing and I stop

It is a rainy night…………

Another hour passes by;
My hands pick the phone
I start messaging and I stop

Fear and Pain are the enemies of Man, they say,
I have seen all four seasons in a day
But the fear of speaking to you
And the pain of not speaking to you
Which of these can I bear, Pray?
